Alamo ACES Portal is a secure collaborative cloud-based Alamo College Educational Services portal that lets Alamo Colleges students and other faculty members access multiple applications with a single sign-on. Moreover,it facilitates students by helping them register for their classes, thus providing them access to online courses, emails, library resources, and financial aids. Besides, it also keeps students updated with the latest information, news, and events happening within the college.

How To Log Into Alamo ACES Student Portal? 

In case you want to learn how to log into the student portal, follow the following steps:

  1. Open and launch your web browser.
  2. Go and navigate to
  3. You will land at a screen that asks you to enter your username and password. You must have received a welcoming email from your college to your personal email id. The email contains your username and password. 
  4. Enter it carefully and hit the login button if you have all the details. However, if you have lost or misplaced the email, go through the following steps to log in to your Alamo ACES Student Portal.
  5. In case you are unable to find your username and password, follow the following steps: 
    1. Navigate and click on “How do I get a user name and password?”
    2. A screen pops up to enter the last 4 digits of your SSN and last name. Enter the details carefully and correctly. 
    3. Hit the “Submit” button. 
    4. You will receive your default username and password within a short time. Your default password will be the first two initial characters of your surname (or last name) in uppercase, followed by your date of birth in MMDDYY format. 
    5. Remember to note down your username. 
    6. Now exit from the tab and navigate to
    7. Subsequently, a screen will come up when you ask for your username and the default password. Fill in the details correctly. 
    8. Create your new password. Confirm your password. Submit it and hit the “Save Changes” button. 
    9. You will be asked to create your security question along with the answer. Create it and hit the “Submit Setup” option. 


How To Change/ Reset Your Alamo ACES Portal Password? 

Follow the following steps to change/reset your Alamo ACES portal password:

  1. Open your browser and navigate to
  2. Click the “My Account” option present on the home tab. 
  3. Subsequently, a window pops up asking you to enter your current/present ACES password. Follow the instructions to set your new password, & confirm it by entering it again. Do as directed. Remember, your password must have a minimum length of 8 characters and a maximum length of 20 characters. In addition to that, keep on mind that your password must contain any single letter, digit, and special character. 
  4. After entering the asked details, hit the “Save Changes” button. 
  5. A confirmation message is confirming that your password information has been updated shows up on the screen.
  6. Hurray! You have changed your password. Now you can access your Alamo ACES Student Portal using your new password.


How Can You Get Your Alamo ACES Username And Password? 

In case you recently took admission to any Alamo college or are getting transferred to another Alamo college, you can follow the following steps to get your Alamo ACES username and password. 

  1. Open and launch your web browser.
  2. Go and navigate to
  3. On the portal’s home page, you will find a message “How do I get a username and password?”. Click on it. 
  4. A new screen will pop up to enter your full last name and the last four digits of your Social Security Number(SSN).
  5. In case your information is already saved in the system, the system will automatically show you your default username and password. 
  6. After getting your username and password, you can return to the login page and log in to your Student portal using the information. 


Reasons Why You Can’t log in to Your Alamo ACES Student Portal

You can’t access your Alamo ACES Student Portal in the following situations:

  1. In case you have an unstable and poor internet connection
  2. In case you have entered the wrong website address
  3. In case you have entered the wrong password, and
  4. In case you have entered the wrong username.


ACES Alamo Canvas 

ACES Alamo students can also use the e-learning LMS (Learning Management System), also known as ACES Canvas. Moreover, this LMS helps students access all their online courses. Students can access the online course content of their syllabus after their right class. 


How To Get Access To Alamo Canvas Courses On Your Alamo ACES Student Portal? 

To access your Alamo Canvas courses, follow the following instructions:

  1. Log in to your student portal.
  2. Navigate to the “My Courses” page.
  3. Hit the “House” icon present right next to your respective course name. 
  4. Select the appropriate term from the dropbox. 
  5. Now, your course will be opened in a new window. 
  6. The syllabus and content of your course are viewable right from your first day of the class.
